The Ava City Park
The main park,which is located at the intersection of 5 highway and Johnson Avenue, has a lot to offer. The park offers 2 covered pavilions - 1 at the upper Park and 1 at the lower park, both are available for public use or available for private rental. To guarantee the use of the pavilions you will need to make reservations through the park office (417)-683-PARK (7275). The cost to reserve either big pavilion is $5.00 per hour or $25.00 for the entire day. There are 8 picnic tables under each of the covered pavilions. Please call the Park office to check availability. Also, the park offers a lighted tennis courts, a lighted softball field, a basketball court, 2 sets of playground equipment, and an open play area for the public to enjoy. If you are wanting to use the softball field please check with the parks office for availability. This is also where the Ava Municipal Water Park is located.
Militia Springs
Militia Springs is located on North Spring Street. The park has a pavilion available, playground equipment, and an open play area. Unlike the main park, the pavilion is available on a first come, first serve basis. For more information on Militia Springs, click on Militia Springs tab.
